Default 2014 oil consumption

I know I’ve read that 13+ A4s should have no oil issues, but wanted to have some input. My ‘14 A4 is just about to hit 70,000 miles and seems to burn a quart every 4-5000 miles. Is this considered normal? I’ve seen some people say their engines burn less than a quarter of a quart every 10,000 miles, hence why I’m a little curious.

I happen to have an extended warranty for a few hundred more miles, so I’m super tempted to just throw the car at the dealer and see what they say/find. Will they turn me away? I know for example that Acura won’t look at oil burn issues unless you’re burning 1qt every 1k miles or worse.

Thanks!

That’s perfectly normal.

Normal, but make sure there's no PVC issue, pulling off the oil cap while at idle....that there's no vacuum inside. If PVC is clogged, it can blow out the RMS.
