I have my car search narrowed down to two choices (at least for now). Looking at a 2010 A4 premium manual transmission quattro with 54k miles. It is a CPO model and price is $23k. Also, looking at a 2010 Acura TSX with Tech package. It has 37k miles, manual, and is at $22k. Would love people's thoughts. The A4 is more fun, but worried about the amount of miles and reliability issues although I'd be under the CPO warranty for 2 years. Thoughts?

If you buy A4 at 54K miles and take it for 55K miles for service you will be in for a shock just how much the service costs. It's not on your mind now but trust me, you just might regret buying it because of that.

On the subject of your question, I doubt that extra miles will be an issue. Cars are very different: one is FWD with Nav (that's what the tech package is, correct?) the other is AWD with little extras. Audi will be a better driver, as you noted, while Acura will have more gizmos. Just ask what is important to you and you will have the answer.

55k service for the 2010 A4 consists of the following:
-oil change and filter (most dealers run a $69.95 special)
-cabin filter ($16 and a few minutes of your time)
-air filter ($20 and a few minutes of your time + a torx screw driver)

Note: spark plugs are NOT done on the 2.0T at 55k.
