There is no way! The most basic one 2.0T Quattro would be at least 35K.

A base B7 2.0T quattro was around $30K. $28K must be for a CVT

Default Base MSRP for an '08 B7 2.0T FrontTrak manual is $28,900.
The cheapest MSRP for any '08 B7 with leather seating surfaces is $29,750. That's with ONLY the $850 "Premium Package" selected.

The Base MSRP for an '08 B7 2.0T Quattro manual is $31,000. $31,850 including ONLY the Premium Package.

I selected the Premium Package by default because it's required for leather seating. Dealers simply won't stock (with EXTREMELY rare exception) cloth seats.

I haven't seen any published U.S. price list for the B8 as yet !

I posted '08 B7 prices from audiusa.com. AoA has not announced '09 B8 pricing.

Default Just for the record, every time the A4 has been redone, they always say
prices will remain the same or only be slightly higher. Then when the car arrives, it's typically $1-3k more than the model it's replacing. If this didn't happen with the B8, I'd be surprised.
