Is ADS worth it on an A4 S-Line?
Just sold my '09 A5 today and placed an order for a loaded A4 S-Line less ADS, which I did have on my A5. My question is, what does everything think about paying ~$3k for ADS on a car with a smaller engine? Is it even going to be worth it or if I was going to pay for ADS should I just consider upgrading to an S4 without ADS?
Wish they would have left the damn 3.2L V6 option...not that I needs tons of HP, but I'm just concerned that the 2.0L engine is just a bit on the light side.
Thanks everyone in advance!

I've got the 2.0T Avant 6MT S-line with ADS (only the suspension).
Why would you want it on the 2.0T but not on the S4? If you feel you need ADS then surely you'd "need" it on the S4 too?
If you don't need it on the S4 then why not save the cash on the 2.0T?
I added it as I have a young family and although the Sports suspension is no where near as crashy as my old B6 S4, it's really nice to have the ability to have multiple cars in one i.e. "comfort" for long journeys/kids in the car/poor roads, auto for decent roads/kids/etc and dynamic for when you want it flat and hard.
In my circumstances and with the roads I drive it's an ideal solution. It's not worth it for everyone though.

It's not that I would want it in the A4 but not the S4...I was just considering how close in price I am to upgrading to an S4 if I add ADS onto my A4 S-Line. Only a few thousand dollars more and I could just get an S4, but to get an S4 PLUS ADS, that starts to get a bit pricy.
So it goes back to this: Should I stick with the A4 S-Line with ADS or pay a few thousand more to get into an S4, but without ADS.

ADS gets you the uprated sports suspension (electronic dampers are part of it, but you also get uprated sways/springs). I'm not sure that the S4 has it's own specific suspension setup above the "sports" suspension that is offered on the standard A4.
I've got the A4 with ADS and the Stasis chip. For the less money, I got more toys than I would do with the S4. The chip ups the power from the 2.0TFSI and I don't feel that I'm missing out. ADS lets me turn the car into the comfortable cruiser at my whim.
How much do you use the ADS at the moment? If you just start up and put it in Dynamic and drive, then don't bother with ADS. If you switch modes, I'd addit back in to your build.
John.
