Default Anyone else experiencing oversteer on a 2009 A4?

I got my car on friday.. an 09 A4 quattro.. and i have a habit of taking my foot off the gas pedal for large/tight turns.. and halfway through it i will press on the accelerator again.

the servotronic steering decides it needs to adjust at that point and turns the car a lot more than I want it to, so I end up oversteering into the turn or having to quickly turn the wheel back..

a similar thing happens to me when i accelerate through left turns also..

the salesman was telling me the steering/transmission would learn from me and adjust.. is that true?

If you jump off the gas whilst turning it won't really matter what car your in as the natural tendancy is for the rears to become unweighted and hence pivot around the front.

Servotronic doesn't make it worse.

Dynamic steering would reduce it a bit.

p.s. For quattro's you're meant to go from neutral throttle (from the turn in point) to back on the gas just before the apex increasing as you come out.

Basically slower in, hook up the inside tyre and then faster out.

Advice from my Audi driving instructor:

1. Look down the road.

2. Don't lift!

Depends on the turn.. but large left turns, and 4-6 lane intersections, maybe 15-30mph... depends.

By "oversteering" do you mean you can get you car to break loose and slide the tail through at 15-30mph, or do you just mean you are steering too long through the turn?

That's not the definition of oversteer.

I know, but it's the best word I had for it at the time.
