B8 Dash Difference, Need Help
2 questions
Im looking to purchase an 2011-2013 Audi A4, Im guessing Premium+ however i have a question.
I've attached two images
Why is one configuration in the middle and one down by the GearShifter?
I understand the one down by shifter has navigation. But is that it? does it have any other audio benefits ?
And my 2nd question is... I found a pretty decent S-Line. However besides a badge on the door that says "Sline" i could not find what is different with it. Same rims/interior, even the media buttons were in the middle dash not by shifter so not even nav?
Thanks!
1st: Colour in Driver Information Display and 3 zone climate (includes air vents to back seat).
2nd: One slot SD-card reader. (The first picture probably has SD-reader(s?) under the lid.)
None of them has the B&O speaker options but the Nav-option should include MOST digital audio transfer between the dash and the amplifier in the boot. I can't tell if the audio differs in other respects.
And sorry, I missed the question about s-line. That gets tricky: it depends on the year. Up through 2011, the s-line package included the sports package (so you got sports suspension, 3-spoke wheel with shift paddles if auto), sports seats, which are upgraded with alcantara inserts in the s-line, black headliner, brushed aluminum trim, side blades, s-line bumpers (slightly more aggressive looking than standard), maybe some more things, but those are the big ones. In these years, s-line was only available with the Prestige level, which also included NAV, so it would have the full MMI setup from the first picture. In 2012, the Premium Plus models got the "s-line appearance" as standard, so it got the cosmetic stuff (bumpers, badges, blades, etc.), but didn't get the more functional parts (sports seats, suspension, wheel, etc.).
At least that's how I remember it, should be close.
