Default Chrome Grill Strips

Hey guys I installed some of those 3M chrome strips on my grill today. I really like how it looks. I used a little bit of emblem and plastic adhesive to attach because I didn't trust the adhesive on the back of the strips. Here are some pictures before, half way done and all the way done.
Total cost: $20
Total cost if you get Audi to do it: $150 - RIP OFF.

The chrome strips are from Autozone or any other Auto supply shop. It is a 3M product and it comes in a 20 foot roll. Be sure to get the 1/8" thick strip. Should be in the emblems and 'cheesy things we would never put in or on our car isle'. The adhesive is also 3M and is for emblems or plastics. I put a small dab every inch or so. The whole install took about an hour which is longer than I thought but it looks good and gave me something to do before lunch. Try it out and post some pics when you get yours done!

Mine have been on for a year without issue. I also did the mirrors with a view to I'll remove them after a while but they're still on also.

A very cheap mod ..... and I just trust the 3M tape (isn't that why you pay for 3M???) and it's been fine. I installed mine in really cold weather so I just warned the tape and grill first and it stuck like ... errm glue!

I didn't do mine coz I wanted more chrome. I did it just coz the empty grooves really bugged me!

Looks great. I'm thinking of doing the same, although I am a bit clumsy when it comes to installing things like this.

Haha. You will be fine. You literally can't mess anything up because you can just rip it right off if you don't like how you applied it. I had to do that once and still have plenty of left over material.

Scotty- I looked at putting the strips on the side mirrors but it looked weird on my color. I can see how it would look good on your beautiful blue.
