DK: very unstable motoring by a cold engine
Hi there.
I have a Audi A4 from 2012 and it has a very unstable motoring by a cold engine. after 1 min. it is as normal again.
What can it be?

What is meant by unstable. Does the engine stall or vibrate. Does the car shake when you drive it. Please try to be more descriptive of what the problem is. Do you have a check engine light on.

I'm guessing he's talking about the high idle (1200rpm?) time (30-40sec?) during a cold start, before it drops down to normal idle (750-800rpm). Mine recently started being very noisy during this window, sounds like chains being loose before the oil pressure kicks the tensioner in Oh joy.
I notice from time to time that there will be some engine kick as well, and suspect this is what he's talking about. Though maybe his is worse. I'm not sure what causes engine kick during that window, would it be a problem with the chain and the balance shafts? Or misfires? Those are the only two things I can think of that would cause that kick when in park. I just live with it.

The engine vibrate in the begining when i start to drive 10 - 40 km/t and it is hard for the car to accelerate. When I try to Accelerate more then the car shakes and the car goes very unstable. After only 1 - 2 min. it drives perfect?
Do you have an idea of what it can be?

It is only shaking in the engine like it will not eat the diesel when i accelerate from 10 - 40 km/t. in a morning cold car. and after 1 - 2 min. drive it gone.
When I start the engine and let it run, there is no shaking/vibration. only when I starts to drive the first 1 - 2 km.
There is no shaking any other places in/or on the car and no warning lights. it is only the engine.
I it only happening when I start the car in the morgning. never after the workday og maybe 8 hours without driving.
Hope some one know what that can be.

my car is doing the exact same thing !! Have you found the problem, I’m about to take out all injectors

If it's diesel, might want to look into the glow plugs. They fail overtime just like spark plugs. They're especially essential when the engine is cold and warming up. The glow plugs remain on until the engine reaches a certain temperature.
