Does your wiper blades make this noise?
Hey all,
Changed my blades to a set of Bosch but noticed that as they changed direction on the windscreen (as they reached their maximum range) they make a slight thud noise as they changed direction. So bought a set of Valeo for them to do the same, only not as pronounced.
Maybe it's my CDO but I like a quiet wiper. Is this the same on your cars?
I've ordered some Rainx in the meantime.

Recently replaced my Audi branded wipers with Bosch ICON ClearMax 365 (apparently has to say ClearMax 365 on the front or you don't get the necessary adapter) and they are silent.
You say it happens when it changes direction, so could be something with the blade fitment to the arm or the wiper motor. My blades have no play around the adapter hole and square peg.

I went out to the garage and turned the wipers on, and I guess there's a lower pitched sound at the start of movement (be it at the start of the upstroke or downstroke), which then turns into the higher pitched sliding noise for the rest of the stroke. But this is not new with these wipers vs the OEM wipers. And this is with the engine off and car not moving. There's no noticeable noise from the blades themselves in real world use.
I guess I do not have an expectation of completely silent wipers. Never had such wipers. I just want them to work, which sucks with Audi in heavy GA rains. The fast speed is much slower than fast in my old G35, and you're left with much rain sitting on the windshield far too long in the A4. The new wipers do a bit better, but there's no way to fix the slow wiper motor.
