Hey guys I own a 2015 Audi b8.5 with a gen 3 engine in Australia, iv noticed a lot of aftermarket parts aren’t available for the gen 3 platform in the b8’s, was just wondering if I would be able to get b9 parts for the same Engine e.g downpipe, intake and intercooler, would it fit ??

Intake and intercooler are not engine parts, but chassis parts connected to the engine. B8.5 Gen2 and B8.5 Gen3 use the same intake and intercooler. B9 is a different body, and likely to have different body mounted components.

Downpipe (you catalytic converter), again, different bodies, may or may not work. In this case, the catalytic converter is different for B8.5 Gen2 vs B8.5 Gen3. Is it because the different turbos (B8.5 Gen3 and B9.0 Gen3 are the same IS20 turbo)? Is there an actual difference in the physical interface? Can the B9 pipe shape fit in a B8 chassis? Don't know any of that.
