Default Found out what is wrong with my car

The dealer said earlier today that it is a faulty water pump. The bad news is that the part is not available in the US and is on back order for at least 7-10 business days. I've had the car in the shop since last Thursday night and may not get it back for another two weeks.

I placed a call into Audi today to see if they can rush the part. I'm not too happy having my brand new car in the shop for so long after having it for just 6 weeks.

Default Weird noise

Something from the engine compartment started making really weird noises (like a wheezing/choking sound) but it wasn't from the engine itself. turns out it was a water pump. Oh yeah, I somehow managed to run over a spike the size of a pinky finger so I now have to spend $200 to replace my new tire.

Not a good start but I love that damn car.

Hang in there. It will all be worthwhile. Your patience is admirable.

Default If you are making any payments on the car, let Audi know you expect them

to reimburse you for lost time. They have done this for others in similar circumstances where they were responsible for the delay.

My car was in the shop for 3 weeks due to a part being on back order and Audi's answer to me was..... the dealer gave you a car to drive and we don't really owe you anything. I couldn't get anything out of them.
I don't think their customer service is all that good. And like most everyone here I am a loyal Audi owner. 4 in the last 10 years.

Default Do you love everything about your current car?

Color, options, etc? If the car is in there for 30 days you most likely could push for a lemon law buyout.

Just a thought...

Sorry to see that the B8s are having problems. Guess they need to work out the bugs.
