Fuel Relay Location?
Hopefully a quick and easy question. Where EXACTLY is the fuel pump relay on the B8.5? I have a 2014 a4 and need to jump the fuel pump via the relay to drain my fuel tank. I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere online. Is it one of these or is it under the hood, tucked under the ECU?

There is no fuel pump relay. The in-tank fuel pump is driven directly by the fuel pump controller. The fuel pump controller 12v feed is fused through fuse 3 in the middle column of the fuse block on the driver's end of the dash. The high pressure fuel pump is mechanically driven by the exhaust cam shaft.
As I mentioned, the B8.5 use a three-phase pump motor. You can't just apply 12v to it. You use a scan tool like VCDS, OBDeleven, or the dealership tool to invoke the pump operation manually.

This is the B8 A4 forum, not the D4 A8 forum. Better to post your inquiry for a MY13 (D4.0) A8 4.0T vehicle in that forum to have the best chance of someone who knows seeing your question. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-...iscussion-190/
