I'd say you made the right decision regarding the paint chip repair. In my opinion you are smart to keep as much of the factory paint as possible. I've found that after market paint jobs are rarely as good as the original paint.

I have owned each generation of A4 sisnce B5 and I too believe each generation has improved in looks. The B8 is fantastic, a bit on the big side for me but other than that Audi nailed it.

I'm very lucky to have 2 3.2 in the garage. I still enjoy the sound of the V6.

Still no car

Well, I was supposed to get my car on Monday (4/27), but while at work I spotted an e-mail from my salesman. I knew it was bad news because he usually calls me on the phone with good news.

The e-mail read, "... due to excessive work flow the car may not be complete until Wednesday."

Strange, the car has a very minor 1/2-inch abrasion, which I was shown on Friday, and the car "may" not be complete until Wednesday?

Right now, I'm not expecting to get the car until Friday ... or Saturday ... or. No sense getting my hopes up ... again.

I'm in the exact same boat. My quartz gray manual was supposed to be delivered last Saturday, and I still don't have it. It "F"ing sucks!

I finally got my car today. But due to some unexpected glitches with paperwork, etc., it turned out to be a very emotionally draining day. I'll follow up with the details after I've had a few days of sleep.
