Can someone with a Premium Plus and a Symphony Radio please let me know if they have a setting under "CAR" called "Instrument Cluster"?


I have a premium minus and do not have this option - only the following under the CAR setting:

1) Central Locking
2) Ext Lights
3) Oil Level
4) Service Interval
5) TP Monitoring
6) VIN
7) Wipers



On page 28 of the manual it talks about changing the value shown in the Instrument panel. Mine is stuck on how many miles left.

I am hoping I can use a VAG to enable the "Instrument Cluster" option to allow access to changing this value (as it says on the bottom of page 29).


Any help appreciated!!

I just ordered a VAG from Ross Tech.

Hopefully the menu settings are easy to turn on and off!

Yes we do, but I don't think it will get you what you want.

Under the Instrument cluster I have
1) Shift recommendation (on/off)
2) Speed warning (on/off)
3) Warning threshold (disabled if #2 is off)
4) on-board computer 1
5) on-board computer 2

4, 5 allow you to select which parts are enabled (avg mileage, speed) etc.

Nothing here allows changing which is displayed on the central display. That's done with the buttons on the wiper control stalk. See pic here :

Do you have these controlls? Someone a while back with a premium level trim was going to replace the stalk and enable the computer in vag-com to see if that was all that was needed to make the computer work on the premium level cars -- not heard how that went yet...
