iphone bluetooth worked fine, but new iphone 3g bluetooth trouble...
in my B8. In my non 3G iphone, the contacts or phonebook was automatically transfered to Audi's bluetooth interface. However, with the 3G model, I do not have a phonebook/contacts! Any of you experiencing this?

What FW are you using? I have an iPhone 3G with 2.1 that works perfectly with my B8.
The contacts, received, dialed, missed calls come up pretty quickly and the phone connects to the car almost instaneously - so fast I received a call as I was opening the door to the car...when I put the key in and started the car, it rang over the car's BT and I was able to answer in the car.
No issues at all, I was able to transfer some select contacts into the car's directory as well.

Mine works flawlessly in my B8. Millions of others would also disagree with you.
While there have been some issues with the rollout, most already corrected, none of these would persuade me that trhe iPhone isn't a terrific device. Don't know what I'd do without it.

Depends on what you want
I had the iPhone for 3 weeks. Really tried to like it but in the end it fell well short of my expectation. The lack of copy & paste really bothers me, as well as a few essential functionalities. I guess it is alright as a multimedia device but the fact that Apple is trying to sell it as a business device is the greatest joke of all time, and that's when it fails. In the end the iPhone is an ordinary product that was hyped up so much by marketing.

I believe it's the most recent FW, 2.2. Audi's manual says it can store up to 4 different...
phones, so I shouldn't have to delete the old iphone since my wife uses that one. Everything works except for the contacts/phonebook. That would be silly to limit the 4 different phone limit to 4 different brands of cell phones. Come on now...
