Take out the physical key from your fob, turn it in the lock and hold it, it will open all your windows or close them all.

Not entirely sure what I'd use this for.... pre-vent the car on a hot day?

That's exactly what I'd use it for. I wish you could hold down the unlock button on the key fob to do the same thing. Convenient thing I use often on my Acura.

You can, you just have to Vag Com it. I have it set up on my car and it's awesome.

This option has been available for years on a lot of cars. VW used to run an ad advertising the feature!

The dealer showed me this feature when I bought the car back in '09 but I never take the key out of my pocket...

If I could get it coded as HX_guy mentioned, I might actually take the key out of my pocket to do this. My E55 AMG does if when you point the key at the lock from no more than a few feet (vents or opens windows and sunroof)

HX_guy, what is the range for this manipulation? full range of remote?

I've been using the key fob for rolling all windows down/up (and sunroof closed) for years starting with my '01 A6. Dealer can program it into your MMI options or with Vag-com (now called VCDS) software/cable as a do-it-yourself. Easy.
Range for me is about 100' or so - same as for locking/unlocking car. You just hold the lock or unlock the button down for about 4 seconds and off they go.

European cars come with this feature enabled.
I have selected in the MMI, to roll down only the front windows.
