NZ: Audi a4 1.8T 2009 wagon jump start noob, lots of smoke
So my battery died and when I went to Jumpstart it (car to car) I had the jumper cables on the wrong way🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ yes there was a bit of smoke and yes I do know this is the stupidest thing I could have done🙄 and now the mmi won't work. No blown fuse can you please give me and idea of how much damage I have caused please

You'd have to do a scan of the vehicle and see what is and is not responding. Then go at the non-working objects one by one.
2009, so you'd have MMI 2G, either High or Low. If you smoked the J523, maybe so. But if anything attached is down, it tends to not start. Including all the devices on the ring. So fuse 3 in the brown column on the passenger end of the dash is good? Likewise, fuse 2. You'd probably need to use an optical bypass plug on each optical ring member to see if any of those are preventing the MOST ring from operating, which will prevent the J523 from starting. But that's usually done running the ring-break diagnosis in the scan tool.
