Since you brought it up, I figured that I'd comment on the Stasis exhaust weld issues. I was the B8 A4 guinea pig. The welds in the midbox were spot welds initially. After they broke in mine, Henry, the chief engineer at Stasis, tore it down and discovered that the spot welds were insufficient. When they broke, it created a raucous rattle mainly on decel. They have since been changed to full seam welds. I am aware of a number of issues with the early B8 exhaust but have not heard of any issues since the redesign. It is certainly a pricey system but it is automotive art that won't invalidate your warranty...something that is important to me. And the cost for the Stasis exhaust and ECU tune were $3200 (I think there was a special on the ECU tune then)

While the system has had its problems, I have dealt closely with Stasis throughout and they have been very straight forward in their approach to resolving any/all issues I had with my system.

I think the Stasis exhaust is worth every penny if you compare the quality of manufacture (materials, welds, finish, etc.) versus every other system I have seen for the B8. Check my garage album for shots of the system. I would love a Stasis exhaust mounted on the wall in my garage. I appreciate laser welded stainless with some of the cleanest TIG welds you will find on any production system.

I think so. Very noticeable gains with increased fuel milage. I think the final number was actually closer to $2,300 now that I'm thinking about it. The biggest gain honestly is the tune. For $599, the APR tune is the biggest gain for the cheapest cost.

Not to say that the Stasis system isn't impressive... but I heard several issue's about the welds in the muffler and wasn't aware they had resolved the problem. I'm not sure why, but I left a few voice messages and an email with the Stasis west coast office based in Rocklin (which is actually only a few miles from my house) and they never replied or called back so I gave up. Glad to hear you had a good customer service experience with them though. The Audi dealership near me quoted me just shy of $2k for the tune alone which seemed a little steep for me.

Nick, and any of that may have interest in Nick's system. First off, thanks Nick, for your postings around all of this. We really appreciate all you've done and written. We are still awaiting the "Y" pipe to make the single left exit a Left / Right system, and hopefully it will be on our February shipment. But meanwhile, like Nick did, you can have a custom one built for not too much money. Ours will likely List for $220 - 250.00 or so when we have them available. But the Daul Exit Left Right system RS (Rear Silencers) with the 4" outward angle cut chrome outlets List for $1022.00 (p/n 048208 0570SL+SR).

If any of you have further questions or information needs, feel free to either call me, or PM me at any time.

Default REMUS Thanks you...

Thanks gentlemen (and women!) for your inquiries and orders! I believe you're all going to love your end results.

Also, as Nick referred to earlier in this thread, the "Y" pipe to make the single sided exit, a Left / Right exit system, is now available and in stock.

On a side note: Supercharged S4 drivers, if you're reading this, we're still awaiting a specific mount for your cars. We will post immediately as soon as we have that info' and have them coming.

Nice exhaust. I like the single pipe on each side.
