reverse lights dont work! anyone help?

reverse lights dont work! anyone help?

my reverse lights do not light up when i put my audi in reverse. i have a 2008 audi a4 quattro 6speed s-line. does anyone know how i can fix this so that they do come on? thank you

Have you checked your fuses? The fuse panel I think is on the sides of the dash -- if you open the door you'll see a panel that should pop open.

By 6 speed I assume you mean manual. If you have ramps and a meter, I would start with checking the reverse switch on the transmission. It will only have 2 wires. Continuity when in reverse and open all other times. Easy to change as well, just screws out. Granted I haven't done one on an A4, but expect its similar.

Fuse or reverse switch.

Any bulb out errors? I know its a stretch that two reverse lights would blow but its possible.

Never hurts to cover all your bases, check the bulbs just in case.
