Did anyone opt for the rock chip coating (dealer option) when you got your new A4? I never had a big problem with chips on the front of my 98 A4 but now that I've got a new Avant I'm thinking about getting it.

I am about to install under the 3M paint protective film on bumper to minimize underside scratching. I have white color, so when it gets a deep scratch, it shows black ABS bumper plastic .

The 3M suppose to be best in the market, but pricey. If you check e-bay, they do sell the computer cut customized front clear bra for 2009 A4. It’s about $89 I think. The dealers and Body shops charge you an arm or a leg for this option. I think $1000 for front, side, and back.

I had 3M Clear Bra done 18" hood, fenders, mirrors, bumper, a pillar, door cups, headlights and foglights all for $435.
