Hey has anyone experienced a muted screeching sound when accelerating from a hard stop? It generally occurs w/n the first 15-20 minutes of driving. The sound reminds me of a loose belt; I do not think it's the turbo. Has anyone experienced a similar sound?

I must say I am getting a little concerned after reading some of these posts. I am a recent Audi convert and I love the way this car looks and handles, however I do feel a little hyper sensitive after reading all of the issues these cars seem to have. Again let me know if anyone has experienced the issue described above.

What did your dealership say when you had them investigate the sound?

I haven't gone there yet. I am monitoring the situation.

I don't think I've ever heard anything like a screeching sound. Get it looked at. What I have heard, and this might just be in my head, is my engine sounds different every now and then. Sometimes it sounds rougher, a little grittier, if that makes any sense. Again, might just be in my head, this.
