Sorry, but my wife finally got her Thule Boxter after much deliberation.
Very nice box, and now we're ready for the beach. (in August)
She wants to drive around with it installed to get the "feel" for it, she says.

I looked at the last picture. Nice hair, nice smile. The car is not bad either.

Looks good! Are you using the Thule Aero bars? What model is that box?

I need to get crossbars/bike rack/box for my Avant but I haven't decided exactly what I want. Probably something Thule since I get a big discount.

Those are actually Audi carrier bars for the Avant.
Thule Boxter model 611.

I had this "discussion" last year, and well, let's just say I lost.
(Only then she had an Acura TL-S)

Hence the Avant. With "turtle top".

any problems w/ the nav/sat radio finding signals w/ the box on top???

i have a b7 with thule areo bars/ski rack and when i have it filled w/ 4 plus pairs of ski's, i get no signal.
