I'm in the market for a used '09-'10 A4. Do dealers have access to (or are they willing to provide) a database showing all the warranty repairs performed on the car? A CarFax is great, but the report usually only states recalls and repairs due to damage.

BTW, I'm looking at a '09 A4 Quattro Premium. One owner, 2 year lease, 31k miles. Dealer wants ~$27k. Good deal?

Or should I buy new?

Don't have specific experience with Audi, but like other brands/mfrs, I would imagine that all repairs that were performed by authorized dealers (warranty or otherwise) are reported electronically in AoA's database and are accessible to authorized repair facilities. Assuming there's no mfr policy about this, a dealer's willingness to provide such info probably varies from dealer to dealer.

Yeah, I was just at the dealer today looking at new and used (test drove the new). I asked about the warranty repairs database and the sales guy was confident that the information should be available. I didn't get the info since I spent much of the time looking at a new P+, which I absolutely loved.

The dealer has access to all the service info on used cars. Remember, used cars, depending on in service date / milage will still be under factory warrantee. My dealer has been excellent with providing service info and doing warrantee work on my 09.
