Window tint vs. Navigation & Sirius Systems
I'm a first time Audi owner and I love it! I own a Brilliant Black 2010 Audi A4 Quattro IS line with Prestige package. I'm thinking of tinting the windows however have been told that it will interfere with the Navigation and Sirius system? Help...does anyone have any feedback? What kind of film should I look for?

There's tons of info on the AW forums re all aspects of tinting types. state laws, etc.. Do a search.

Ceramic tint is marketed directly at this possible issue. It'll cost ~ $100 more than normal tint and will also block more sun/uv with lighter tint choice (50%), however if you want really dark tint then the specs become more similar.

Here's a spec sheet for FormulaOne tint. 'Pinnacle' is their ceramic tint; you can compare that to their other non-ceramic. Another popular ceramic brand is Huper Optik but it may cost you even more. I'm about to have FormulaOne installed.

One thread I ran across was about covering your stereo amp before having tint installed. Installers use a lot of water to apply tint and our amp is located under the rear dash - some people have had amp damaged due to excessive water running down.
