Ok, like all of Audi's connect stuff, this, seems like a mystery. I can go to my Audi, services, map upgrade. If I chose whole package, nothing happens. If I chose my area I get a jlp or something like that file that windows, says it can not open.

It's Java-based. Make sure you have the newest JRE from java.com, then you should be able to open the .jnlp file and run the download program...

Can't you download it after your Audi Connect plan expires? If so, where do I download it at? I looked at myaudiconnect and myaudi website. I'm not seeing it.

Map Update Not Happenin'
I knew I should have written down the procedure when I first updated my maps!
OK, I downloaded the 2017/2018 map files onto an SD card, but when I put the card into Slot 1 on my car, nothing happens. I have gone through every item in the menu, but can't find any way to make the map update happen.
How many files should be on my SD card? I have two folders -- Mib1 & Mib2 -- and a couple of other miscellaneous files.
Can somebody tell me what the steps are? Thanks.

Nevermind, I found it. You have to go into the MMI Setup menu, System Maintenance and click on System Update. I was so busy looking for Map Updates that I didn't see it. You select SD1, and then the whole thing starts.
