I’d like to know if anyone has successfully done this too.

Hi,

In addition to the coding, you must have installed the multifunction plus steering wheel.

To access the lap timer menu, you have to press ")" button:

It should ideally be seen when u hit the left drawer button with the screen showing the car info display. It doesn’t work on radio, nav, phone displays. When u hit the left drawer button, you should see three options with the last being lap timer.

on non-vc instrument, right?
I mean if you are sure it works on non-vc instrument, then there is a problem on my coding.

I've got mine working and I don't have VC installed.
Just select the far left tab with the arrows, press the aforementioned button ")" and choose the lap timer option.

Thanks, did you activate it under "adaptation", or just activate bit 3 of byte 1 under long coding?

Sorry! I can't remember but here you are my notes:

Enable Laptimer shown in DIS
[17 – Instrument Cluster] [Coding – 07]
Select Long Coding Helper
Write down coding as backup
Select byte 01
Enable bit 03

I also did that. I used a clone VCP but I was able to code needle swap. I do not understand what I am missing.
