Audi a4 black optics sport edition. After delivery 1-31-19 noticed rear bump stops fell down or weren’t put in right. had that corrected but annoying to go through.

Now for the last last few months i have have been trouble shooting this chattering noise coming from rear passenger seat. had audi replace the rear seat latch and that did not correct the chatter. after folding the seat down and tapping on the back of the seat when down, sound is apparent below headrest.. I have multiple videos recreating the sound. audi dealer scratching their heads which i know is probably tough to deal with as a service tech.

will be taking it back a third time soon. anyone experience the same chatter noise coming from top rear passenger seat?

I do very much love my new A4. It is best looking car in and out that i’ve ever owned and quattro is the better in the snow than my friends in their trucks.

Yes, you are most likely having the exact same problem as I did. It took Audi 5-6 weeks to red order the seat frame. I had the issue happen since delivery of the vehicle with 6 miles, and it was in the dealer for at least 2 weeks.

Yes they were able to order something from germany and then fixed it. Haven’t heard anything since.

It's the back frame seat assembly (8W5-885-502-A-CA9)?

The dealership said it's normal and no tehnical issue!

There was a piece of metal in the frame that came loose and was hitting against the piece it broke away from is what the guy said after I showed him the report from another guy with a similar audi and what that dealer did… Only then was my dealer able to find it and fix it..

The first couple times I took it in for the noise they said they fixed it and they don’t hear it anymore.. But I took the tech out on the road too and he was just baffled, again until I showed that report from the other post above.

I will have to find my own paperwork for what the part was.
