2020 A4 B9 MMI bluetooth function turned off
Hi everyone,
I just recently got my 2020 A4, and the other day, after having my phone connected to android auto via USB, the MMI Bluetooth function turned off.
I decided to go to the owner's manual and try to resolve it that way, and also tried a factory reset of the MMI and unhooking the battery to reset the entire system.
If anyone has any idea what might be happening, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mjae

If AA is anything like CarPlay then the MMI will disable BT for telephone and as audio source when you switch to AA/CarPlay.
To check, go to telephone and select MMI instead of Smartphone interface. That should allow to use BT for telephone and as audio source.

Looks like the Smartphone interface gets enabled as soon as you plug in a device via USB. I always use wireless CarPlay which allows to switch between the two.
What are you trying to achieve? If you have AA/CarPlay active, all media and phone call are handled via AA/CarPlay. What do you want BT active for?

I just personally like Bluetooth since that is what I've had in all my previous vehicles. I only had it plugged into USB to charge one the day, otherwise, I don't plug my phone into the car.
I tried to wirelessly connect an iPhone also, but still running into the same issue trying to connect wirelessly.

I don't think the 2020 A4 does wireless CarPlay, so you would end up with wired CarPlay which seems to take over BT as soon as you plug it in the same way as AA does.
For charge only you could use the rear USB outlets (if you have those) or use a cheap cigarette lighter to USB plug.
