Default A4 B9 Cruise Control Retrofit

Hi all,

I want to retrofit cruise control to A4 B9 1.4 TFSI

I found the part number 8W5054690 from audi shop but it is quite expensive. I also found actual part number is 4M0907129HA. That can be found cheap coming from a donor car. But I could not find any information that if I can retrofit that preowned part. Also I am not sure about the last part of the part number (HA).

Could you help me?

It is very good did you remove it from your car? I ask that to clarify last part of the part number. My car is sedan, no steering wheel heating, pedal shifters.
since you did not answer the question I assume that you dont know. I also asked sellers on ebay but they dont know too.

This post is from another topic about activation

Obviously it requires coding at the service and according to the picture below the process requires "data" but I am not sure it is generic or not.

Hi - I am now looking to do the same to a 2017 A4 Avant with non-heated steering wheel. Were you successful in your efforts ? Thanks

Yes but I did not do it myself. That is, it is doable but I do not know how.

Thanks for the reply. Just another quick question. Did you have to get the full Adaptive Cruise Control system installed or just the cruise control stalk so you can maintain the speed. I am hoping that I can just get the cruise control stalk installed and not the full “smart” adaptive cruise control system.
Thanks !

No, just the basic CC. I bought the part from Dave, he posted above. That was for my first a4. Then I bought the same part from ebay for my second a4 but it was not removed from the car while the steering wheel was straight, so I damaged its spring. Be careful about that.
