Got my car back after the recall work done. It took them one day since they had to check out the issue with the indicators hyperflashing.

So, finally they only needed to replace the 2 side curtains airbag?

Did they updated your MMI?

Thanks

Yup. Apparently just the two side curtain airbags!! And nope. He said he didn't have an MMI update yet and I didn't bother to keep asking. Maybe during the first service, I'll ask him again.

Great, I was afraid they were going to take the whole car apart to replace several airbags!

Me too. I was also afraid they might be careless while removing trims and scratching up some parts but nope. Interiors look the same as before.

I had the TSB for the flashing lights applied with no questions asked when I went in for my first service. I just quoted the TSB and provided a link to the thread on here.

However, I had previously complained about the issue before there was a TSB at the dealer as well, so that may have contributed to it.

So I am assuming that cars built after a TSB is put out, should not have the issues identified by the TSB. My car is currently sitting on a ship on it's way to Houston and was completed on 19 April. What are the chances that I will need to worry about getting these recalls taken care of, instead of them already being taken care of before I pick up the A4?

Yup. But I guess in the end, it depends on how your relationship with the service advisor is. When I gave my car in, it was warm and sunny and no rains whatsoever. I also gave him the TSB number and since he hadn't ever seen that issue before, I showed him the video someone else posted of their Audi hyperflashing and he said yes. He'll get it done.

I believe you probably don't have to worry about the recall since it should already be done at the factory.
