I asked Connect support and they said June and end of the year with respect to update availability.

Checked today and it was available.

Right, but... there was no update at the end of last year! (At least, not for download through myAudi, I believe people whose cars can directly talk to the Audi servers were able to update)

So unless I'm horribly confused, this is the update that should have been posted in December...

Quite possibly! I was able to download two updates in MMI directly but they apparently limit manual OTA Map updates to two.

I'm not even sure OTA updates are an option for me... my car is too early a build to have the cellular hardware (delayed option for Canadian-spec cars) and... while I think it can do it over wifi, good luck doing that from an underground parking garage which is far out of range of my home wifi (and I don't want to use cellular data trying to hotspot to download 10.3GB)...

Default Error Accessing Update Server

Any idea why I'd get "Error Accessing Update Server" when trying to do an online map update?

This is when you’re attempting to download online via a web browser? If so, it may be that they’re experiencing high volume due to the maps release. If you’re attempting to from your car using the cellular connection, perhaps AT&T or T-Mobile is having issues in your area.

I was able to download the complete 10.3 GB package via the Chrome browser without issue. Sitting in my car updating via SD Card now.

Note, that downloading via your car will limit you to a total of two of the small local/regional updates.

As an example, Illinois is broken into three regional updates and I was only able to download two of them via my car. Now that I’m installing the full update, Illinois (and the rest of North America) will be complete.
