Glad Car play received the much needed update can't wait to see it in action. Hopefully the album artwork showing in VC is fixed and wireless support comes soon.
Just tried out CarPlay for the first time with the first iOS 13 developer build installed. (2017 A4 B9 Prestige, MMI version 1218). I have to say that it is super smooth and polished for a beta version. Didn't experience any glitches or hiccups. A few screenshots:

Cool thanks for the screenshots . I Like the split view screen that was much needed. I also read you can now navigate to different apps on your phone and it won't interrupt the car play interface on the screen!
Does maps on carplay show up on virtual cockpit as well or does it need Audi to support it?
The VC display is all Audi. None of the CarPlay graphics or typefaces come over. When playing music in CarPlay the music screen on the VC does show the song info (Artist/ Title/ Time) but the album graphics don’t even come over. And when using CarPlay maps the map on the VC side is still Google.

I’m going to test this too. Believe I’m running a newer firmware 1316 on a 2019 A4 Prestige.
