I can't see what they would be expecting here. MB already showed there's not really a market for such brands in that body type. GMC only works because it's just a nice Chevy, it's not a "lux" brand like Lincoln, MB, Cadillac, Audi try to position as.

A few months ago I saw a Q7 in a parking lot that had been off-roadified. Large mud tires, about 3 - 4 " additional ground clearance, metal sump protectors, bash bar with winch on the front, big tow hooks and some lights. Struck me as really odd and not to my tastes; but, their vehicle, they get to do what they want with it. If Audi really wanted a pick-up truck they could do what Honda did with the Pilot based Ridgeline. Take a Q7, saw off the back of the roof, maybe extend the platform a bit (Honda didn't) for some extra capacity, add some reenforcement to cover for the loss of the box roof structure, dress it up to make it more truck like and call it a day.
Around here I think it would be a lost cause. Its pretty much F 150 culture. A chopped Q7 would sort of be like a Democrat showing up at a CPAC conference.
