Automatic engine stop/start disable

Really? I've always thought that start stop should work with traffic jam assist since the car knows when it can turn off the engine and always thought it odd that it didn't. Maybe they updated it. What model year are you running?

Mine is a 2020. With traffic jam assist enabled and using regular Drive mode, the car would shut off at every Stop sign, traffic light, pause to pull out of a driveway, etc. Using Sport mode full time has made me so much less frustrated.

OK. Mine is a 2018 so they must have changed it. Or maybe it's an A4 vs S4 thing too.
I used the dongle because I hated it turning off the engine at every stop sign. I like to drive rural backroads to work and there are lots of stop signs with nobody else at them. The system encourages people to roll through stop signs rather than coming to a full stop.
Sport mode is fun but my gas mileage drops to 18 MPG and the engine drones on the freeway.

The dongle is awesome. I have a manual so it seems start/stop is much less 'annoying' - but I love the simplicity. It's like my own little "defeat box" [ducking]. Seriously - great find and thanks for sharing.
