Automatic start stop function malfunction

that's the real annoying part with gas-only systems - there's rarely a good time for the parameters to all be met AND for you to be able to stop the engine for any meaningful period of time from an eco standpoint. it just ends up being awkward and distracting, and even possibly detrimental to the system.

the lexus hybrid actually switches to battery so you can still move the car on electricity in lieu of the combustion engine. so, it's not really stop/start from the vehicle perspective. my es300h does this without me really noticing anything going on behind the scenes.

Auto Start Stop Function Not Working Drive System Fault
Any feedback on the above issue as yet. I have had the same issue as well. It has come to a point where by my car has to start the engine at the 4th attempt.
if your car has an auto start stop function error I urge you to FORCE the dealership to fix it. This is a cumulative issue don't buy the fact that it seems to be a common issue, it will bite you when the car is out of motor plan.

I have the same msg, my Audi es A4 2017 with less than 5,000 miles, I will take my car to the Audi shop to check what is the problem I hope should be cover by the warranty.....did you find out what was the problem?

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ Long shot but this might help other people it’s an easy fix I have a Audi A4 BlackEdition 2015 Avant... my issue was the same but a few more problems linked to the stop start fault... hazard lights wouldn’t work, rear fog light Blinker sound was twice as fast in both directions but normal on the outside I suspected it could be a bulb, wiring problem or even the ECU playing up I disconnected my battery for 15 minutes and started up the car and now I don’t get any stop start malfunction messages and everything’s working as it should hope this helps!!!! It’s supposed to be a common problem with Audis between 2012 and 2017 don’t go to the dealership before you try this method I had a friend scan my car with a professional device and no fault codes came up Audi wanted to charge me £65 just to do a diagnostics check and then you might as well bend over for the rest
