Here's the instructions for the defroster vent trim.
once this is removed, I believe the 2 speakers below are held in by screws.

Thank you so much! Looks as though I just need to be brave and hope nothing snaps...
My car has the Audi Sound System so only has the mid, no tweeter. I'm looking to upgrade this or at the very least reduce its volume as I find it very intrusive with poor sound quality. Will be a week or two before I can look at this but if I get anywhere with it I'll be sure to post a thread about it.

Thats a lot of good info.
Iam trying to fig out how to get a RJ11 cord up the side pillar for a radar detector. Would you have a bulletin on that ? Thanks
