BE: change of fuel filter?
hey
I just read from (Scotty Kilmer) a very well-known car mechanic on YouTube etc that when replacing a fuel filter you have to bleed the car specially with a machine that they have at Audi otherwise the (high pressure fuel pump) can break, but I I had Olli change a filter for about 5k km at a company like that for 400 euros and now I'm afraid that, for example, the next time it will not be replaced with an Audi that breaks down, is more known about this? or someone who has experienced it and is that necessary to bleed it or does the car do that itself, can someone explain this more?

Read the workshop manuals specifically for the vehicle you have and follow whatever they specifically state to do for whatever task you're undertaking. Is where I'd start.
What is the specific engine in this vehicle? What is this specific vehicle? At least the make and year from the VIN (7th/8th/10th characters).

You searched the workshop manual (not the owners manual) and it doesn't say how to change a filter? That seems odd.
And what filter? Title says fuel filter, but the text, and follow-up, mentions oil change. I'm hoping you didn't pay 400 euros for an oil change. What are you changing at 5k km?
Fwiw, Scotty may be "well known" but half of what he says is garbage, IMO.

TDIs have the in-line fuel filter, yes. FSIs do not; the fuel filter is at the in-tank pump. Typical Audi workshop manual documentation. The in-line fuel filter is detailed in the Fuel Supply System manual, but it says the R&R is documented in the Maintenance Procedures manual. And when you look there, step 1 is "remove the underbody trim, as instructed in the Body Repair - Exterior manual". The last step is "– Then bleed fuel system ⇒ Engine; Rep. gr. 23 ; Injection system; Filling/bleeding fuel system ." Ie, now you need the Engine manual. Which means knowing which actual engine you have (2.0 TDI is not enough). Look at the vehicle identification sticker in the owner's manual or at the regulatory sticker under the hood, since you're in the UK, the one that has the axle weights on it. But the physical replace of the filter is very simple from a DIY perspective. I have no idea what the bleeding process is; will probably require a scan tool like VCDS to invoke something.
What's the actual engine code for your engine so we can look at the correct manual to see what the bleeding process is talking about. There's likely material on the Internet about TDI fuel system bleeding, such as the many many things that came up in a google search of "audi b9 a4 2.0 tdi fuel filter change bleed fuel system".
