Considering changing the seats
Hey, has anyone changed seats in B9 yet?
I have the textile seats with electric lumbar support in my A4 B9 avant and I am looking at leather/alcantara desig.
Now some of the questions are:
- do i NEED to change them with the seats that have completeley 1:1 same functionality?
- is it wrong if new seats would be electric and do I need to do some more coding after if I choose those..?
- i don't have heating/cooling seats, will it work if I buy new seats with heating/cooling or do I need to do some coding after?
- how is with airbags? do I need to code that too maybe?
- any other things I need to considerate?
Thanks for help guys!

If you want heating/cooling to work, you probably need to add new switches into the HVAC console area and may also need additional wiring to support those switches. Why not just reupholster your existing seats unless you really want the other seat features as part of your upgrade.
