Default got the traffic sign recognition working finally

After numerous attempts at long coding it in on the P+, I finally gave up and bought the Kufatec dongle and in a matter of 2 minutes, it programmed everything it needed and it worked like a charm.
Coding dongle traffic sign recognition for Audi, VW (kufatec.com)

It needs the dataset of the A5 module updated and that needs VCP. VCDS or ODBEleven tools cannot access the dataset region of the modules.

Does the dongle need to remain plugged into the OBDII port or do you remove it after coding is complete?

And thats ultimately why I bought the Kufatec module

Nope, it is literally just a programmer. Plug it in, wait for it to write its files, then unplug it. A word on that though, it does vin lock the device so that you cannot go around flashing other cars. Smart move on Kufatec's part to keep it so people have to buy one per car.

Do you need the front-facing camera for this or does it simply work off the GPS?

Gotta have the camera, it reads the signs while driving.

That's what I figured. Thanks for confirming.

Why is this not feasible with OBD eleven?

It is doable but the feature to read and write datasets has not been implemented in ODBEleven yet.

Would love to have it turned on but not for 188GBP, but glad there's a simple device to turn it off since OBD11 cannot do it.
