Has stock Spark plug gap recommendation changed?
Hi All,
I ordered Audi recommended stock plugs, NGK PLFER7A8EG Part# 06K 905 601B from ECS Tuning. All 4 came pre-gapped as 0.028".
But, I see in several forms that the Stock gap should be 0.032" and for the tuned it's 0.028".
ECS mentioned that's how it came from the factory and it's possible that Audi/ NGK revised the gap specs now. I couldn't verify this elsewhere, please advise.

The NGK part number tells you it'll be 0.8mm factory gap.
P - premium platinum
L - long reach extension, 26.55mm reach
F - M14, gasket (vs. tapered), 19mm reach (normally)
E - 3/4" hex
R - resistor plug
7 - heat range
A - "firing end construction special code"
8 - 0.8mm gap
E - special resistance (1kΩ)
G - Copper Core Ground Electrode
0.8mm = .0315"

After searching the archive I was surprised to see very little information regarding stock plug gap.
