Hi guys,

I have 2016 sport model A4 1.4 TFSI .

No carplay in my car. I dont have also navigation.

Even I coould not receive a clear and accurate answer from audi service.

Is it possible to install carplay on 2016 model my car?

A 2016 model is a B8, last generation.

No I don't think you can get CarPlay.

If you get an after market stereo/deck put in yes but could kill the look of the car. I wouldn't.

B9 was sold as 2016 model year in Europe.

It turns me really crazy this issue. Even average cars has carplay function but we are buying car in end of the 2016 but still no have. Somehow 4-5 months later they put all B9 car that produced in 2017.

So, how I can solve navigation issue? Except using phone google or yandex application.

Audi connect is standard in all B9 cars?

Carplay isn't standard in Sweden at least. Neither is Audi Connect. Carplay is a $1200 option. And $300 for Audi Connect.

Alot of the goodies is standard in US cars. Which cost alot in the rest of the world

Buy an aftermarket headunit that has Carplay built in

Retrofit would cost you a fortune by the time it's functional

I have carplay in two of my vehicles... I always disable it, features are extremely limited and your phone gets completely locked out in case you wish to send a quick message at a long light or pulling over...

Perhaps in the coming months will get better and it will support more apps but currently you only have apple maps + spotify... thats it and well apple maps freezes constantly on carplay...
