How to change VC display from A4 to RS4 ?

In my SQ5, you either get the small dials and sport gauge or small dials and large dials views. Both are separate. You can’t hit the view button to change from small dial to large dial to sports gauges. It has to be changed in the VC, not MMI. You have to go to the first tab in the VC (with the dials in the small gauge mode) where it gives you the car info, hit the left drawer button, scroll down to layout and choose between classic or sport layout.

Got it working.
OBDELEVEN its not under start up. Just click dashboard then scroll down to variant option. Start up has its own thing.
Looks great!! Just need sport mode with the gauge in the center lol

S4 you have the Red tag at 7-8 RPM and the RS4 the full speedometer is grey with the red tag at 7-8 rpm.
the regular looks plain not having that red fill in at the 7-8 rpm range,

Did u try and see if u can get the sports gauge like in the S4 using the method mentioned above?

Edit: I haven’t tried it yet because I’m too chicken. I don’t want the S4 gauge unless I can get the sport gauge and I don’t want to be stuck with the S4 layout Incase I can’t change it back. Have any of you tried changing it back to the A4 layout?

Are you sure you don’t get the drawers? You get the drawers even in the A4 showing trip computer and lap statistics. Just no layout option.

I had the AC off and the main navigation screen off.
Plugged in the obdeleven.
Long coding. Scrolled down to variant 12. Turned off the car and also clicked the lock button to lock the car. Waited 2 minutes
Turned on car and it worked
Try changing it to 13 then once that works change it to 12
