Default Knocking noise in rear end - 2019 A4

Took delivery of my 2019 A4 on 3/9. Over the past couple days I have noticed a knocking sound going over bumps, speed bumps, and some uneven pavement. Does not happen all the time, but on some road imperfections. Wrapped and tighten down everything, including jack, spare tire, and tools. I did read that there may still be shipping shims or pucks that may have been left in the suspension. When looking under the car, I do see, what appears to be a black, rubber puck at the bottom of the spring. Not sure if that is where the shipping puck would be located. If I can't figure it out, I will schedule an appointment, but figured I give it a shot here. Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.

I believe I figured out what it is. Not sure what these are called, but they are loose and move up and down. On my TT, they are seated up and do not move one bit. I assume I need to remove the tire and push it into place

Those look like the shipping “pucks” Audi installs into the suspension prior to transportation of the car to dealers. They are supposed to be removed by the dealer prior to delivery.

Dave, I have these on my TT. The yellow portion is seated up into the silver part in the picture. I would take the tire off but am having trouble finding the jack points.

Could someone check their rear above their tire to see if they have the same setup. I believe that about half of the yellow boot should be up into the silver housing in the picture above. Thanks for checking in advance. It would be appreciated.

Just took this shot for you, I guess I’m wrong. Obviously not shipping pucks because I have the same “boot” on my A4. Mine is orangish/brown and not yellow. I have ‘17 B9 with the sport suspension.

Thanks Dave, mine is completely out and moves freely up and down.

NO problem. Happy I could help. Sorry for the erroneous info. Obviously not pucks.

Can't wait to hear what they find out. I think I have the same sound. Took it to the dealer, and they couldn't figure out the cause. They DID remove some shipping "pucks" that weren't removed on delivery, but that didn't fix the problem. Mind is a soft "clunk" that I hear every once in a while in the right rear in my 2017 A4...
