Map updates for Canada?

Map updates for Canada?
I was just reading a thread about our friends south of the border downloading maps from Audi Connect. Since we have no Audi Connect here... what's the mechanism for updating maps in Canada? Pay a couple hundred bucks to a dealer who has a master SD/DVD set?

You can register at my.audi.com, under Audi Connect Services there is an option to download updated maps, have not tried it yet.
Edit: Have tried to download the updated maps for Canada, the prepared package should be about 1.2GB but the downloaded file is only 8K. Looks like its not functional yet.
Audi has great technology in its cars but is fairly lacking on the net.

I'm also having issues with this.
No problems downloading the map but since there is no Audi connect in Canada the MMI menu for Audi Connect is not there. From what I see online the update map option resides in the Audi Connect menu.
Since the MMI has no audi connect menu is there a way canadian customers can update their map without bringing the car to the dealership?

I'm in Canada and this is how I updated my maps after I downloaded them from my.audi.com and copied them to SD card. Menu -> Settings -> left on the MMI wheel -> Maintenance -> System Update.
USB drives will also work.
