Yeah, $95 for a 10” piece of plastic is pricey. Was thinking of writing to the company that sells the kit and getting their price.

First to let folks know that, despite a chase, I have not had any further reply from Dokiauto and their engineer.

I have the impression that, at least some of the time, the purple artifacts are absent; I will try to see if there is a pattern.

I also just pulled the trigger on the 10.1 OEM upgrade.

I ordered all the bits as described in this post but when I installed it all , Innolux 10.1 OEM Screen with Ali Express Decoder I got the dreaded purple line!!

DO NOT USE the settings they recommend !!!

You must use the last settings for the Panasonic screen , for the Innolux screen and boom the purple line is gone !!!!

make sure you un plug the decoded box first , change the setting , then plug back in !!

NO MORE PURPLE LiNE !!!!

Thanks very much R54; looks pretty compelling. It may be a little while before I strip the dash again but I will report back when I do. Did you have to rely on trial and error to get there or did you have some extra knowledge to guide you?

No after all the hard work , money spent and effort installing this thing , I wasn’t prepared to accept the purple line . I played with it for 30 mins trying all options and the Panasonic setting worked !!!

I msged the seller to tell them the good news and to update the settings information they provide is not correct for the Innolux screen !!

Hopefully they will change for future purchasers .

I can confirm the until is working perfectly and the new screen resolution is amazing !!! 💪🏼

Will be ripping into the dash tomorrow to try the Panasonic setting. Hopefully I won't break a tab or anything else, haha.

Maybe the sticker should also read, "If supposed settings do not work, try one of the others". Obviously there is some other variable at work here as evidenced by the the success of various installs.

As stated, I used the recommended settings and everything has been copasetic from the get-go, which was my main reason for not purchasing an android.

Kudos for your out of the box thinking and solution.

If I ever do this then I will actually be buying a screen that I know will work with the MIB2 upgrade to MIB2P. So it's good to know that other settings could work too

Because curiosity got the better of me, I did try the other settings. I got NADA.
When you do it, you will love the bigger screen.
