Default Parking sensor Fault

I was wondering if anyone has had issues with their B9 A4 having a parking sensor that is misfiring and beeping when there is northing in front of the car. Took it into Audi and they said there was a film over my parking sensors that they dont know what its from as neither of us have a record of any film being applied. They want to remove it to see if it fixes the issue (I’m doubtful) does anyone else’s A4s have this film? It’s covers the entire black part of the grill. The sensors are clean and its only 1 of my front sensors that keeps going off.

Thats odd. Did you buy your car new or used? Looks like theres vinyl wrap over the sensors.

Got it as a 2017 CPO it was 6 months old when I got it (was traded in after 4 months because the original owner hated all the electronics). I agree looks like a wrap but makes no sense why someone would wrap the sensors and not the paint.

Maybe they wrapped the grill originally so it was blacked out, and when it was removed they missed a piece. Just pull it off and see if that solves your issue.

Looked into it wrap runs the entire length of the bumper and under my front license plate mount. I can see where their mechanic tried to peel it off unsuccessfully. They wanted to have their detailers try and remove it so they dont scratch the plastic so guess I'll see how that goes.

Honestly, you dont even have to waste any time with all that. Just take an exacto knife or razor blade and just cut around the circle and peal that off. You dont really need to remove the entire length, just the part over the sensor.

That is vinyl that the previous owner put on.

Looks like whoever the previous owner put this on because they did not get the Black Optics package and they wanted the BO grill.
