Default Programming the second key

I've looked through the manual and can't find how to program the second key (seat position, locking, mirrors, etc.). The MMI seems to only be interested in the first key. What am I missing?

Typically when you take the second key(leave first key out of the car) and set everything up, when you lock the car it will remember the settings for that key.

That's what I thought too. But the car seems to have amnesia for the second key.

If I recall, there's a checkbox somewhere to store settings on the key in the MMI. Maybe the box is checked for your first key and not the second?

The video posted previously shows the exact steps on how to do it. The main FOB must be out of range of the car when programing the second one.

Thanks for all the help. Seems the essential step is locking the door with the lock button on the second key - not locking it with the button on the door handle. The video made that very clear and was quite helpful.

Glad you got it figured out. I failed to mention it had to be done with the key not the handle.
