Default Questions from a prospective 2017 A4 buyer.

I am planning on purchasing a lightly used 2017 A4 Quattro Prestige with Driver Assistance, Cold Weather, Warm Weather, and Sport packages within the next two weeks. I have been agonizing so much over this car purchase and am trying to make sure I have all of my ducks in a row before moving forward. Here are my questions:

1) I would like to add an extended warranty to the car as I plan on keeping it for a long time. The car I am currently looking at is not CPO. What are my best options for getting an extended warranty? 1a) I hear that it is possible to get genuine Audi warranty extended. Is that true? Can I do that with any dealership or does it have to be with the dealer I purchase the car from? 1b) Any other tips regarding warranties? 1c) Anyone have any connections to dealers/people they trust who sell the actual Audi warranty (assuming there is one)?

2) For this specific model/year are there any common issues I should be looking for when I test drive the car?

3) Is there anything else I should be considering with this vehicle (yeah....I am brainfarting pretty hard right now)?

Thanks in advance!!

A few friends who own Audi’s have purchased from FD-Warranty - Note: I have no affiliation with these guys.

They are a family of dealerships that include Audi that sale the exact same Audi Pure Protection plans Audi dealers do but at a substantial discount (supposedly because they sale to their local customers via the dealerships and online to a much larger population).

May be worth asking for a quote.

My 3-year lease is coming up in September on my 2017 A4 Premium Plus Quattro. I've only put 13k miles on it, but every one of them has been a pleasure and I have had no issues at all. I find the nav system clunky, but aside from that the car just does everything well. I may buy it.

I'm tempted to buy mine at the end of the lease next summer too, but it just seems like an idiotic financial decision... buyout price of the car is high, $1000 or whatever it is for the transmission service the next day, extended warranties will be big $$$$, etc...

Default I’m buying mine too.

The 3 year lease on my 2017 A4 prestige is ending this July. I’m definitely buying mine in a few weeks when the lease is over. Maintenance wise, I purchased Audi care so I just bring it to dealer based on the schedule. No hassles. No repairs of any kind save for that silly B&O door trim they made me swap out. Otherwise the car is great. No issues.

Congratulations on the purchase! The A4 I ordered was pulled off the ship in May 2017 and I am still enjoying every mile as I did over 2 years ago.
