Default Sourcing New Brakes and Rotors

Hi Canadian Audi Owners,

Need to get new brakes and rotors after winter is over. My local Audi Dealership in Ontario (Canada) quoted me $1,511 (Parts $1116.69 + Labour $394.31) for the Front and $1,255 (Parts $781.69 + Labour $473.31) for the rear.

I'm pretty confident I can source the parts myself as the dealership gave me the green light to source my own parts and just pay them the labour rate.

I was looking for recommendations on which Canadian websites are best to source Audi Parts. Also looking for recommendations which brands are best.

Should I just go with OEM Parts or should I look at some other brands?

Thanks.

https://germanoem.ca/

https://www.autopartsway.ca/

https://www.vmautohaus.com/

These have all worked for me when buying parts. OEM vs 3rd party - all depends on what you are looking for; for brakes I've traded lower brake dust vs higher performance.
YMWV.

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...+pad+kit,13824

Other brands. Since you're in Canada Look for e-coated rotors for less rust. You should be able to get f & r rotors and pads for about 500 cdn+ shipping.

i.e ... search for ... DYNAMIC FRICTION 451473064 Geo-Kit 5000; Geospec Rotors with 5000 Advanced Brake Pads and Hardware Info
Front and Rear; A4 Quattro; 338mm Front Rotor - $442 cdn plus shipping

And do a brake fluid flush to if it hasn't need done yet. Find an Indy shop to do the work, should only be a few hours.

Thanks, never came across this website. This looks like a steal with I want to stick with OEM parts. I have my "major" service interval scheduled for next year as well and I confirmed that the Audi Care Extension will cover the brake fluid flush as well.

@Phenomenon01 so you'd rather pay $2000 to Dealer for OEM parts vs ~ $500 - $600 for afternarket (arguable better) e-coated rotors and ceramic pads

If you want OEM parts at a more reasonable price try https://www.genuineaudiparts.com. Front rotors will cost you about $300/pair and rears about $250/pair, pads $225 front $110 rear. If you need them the wear sensors front and rear are another $150. All together about $1035.

OEM Parts per say but not from the Dealership, should have worded that sentence better. If I can get e-coated rotors and ceramic pads for less, I'd be a fool not to buy them.

I just had to go through this process of sourcing decent parts for the best price and ultimately wound up with brembo. Not entirely sure where to purchase in canada but I went with Brembo 3236833KIT which was all 4 high carbon coated rotors for $261.95 and Brembo Low Met pads P85154 and P85164 but I haven't installed anything yet. Got it all stacked up in the car ready to go for the weekend.

I just did mine recently on my A5 SB. Sourced parts with a lifetime warranty from FCPEuro.com. Zimmermann rotors front/rear, OE front pads, TRW rear pads - total for parts was $600, labor myself.
