Do you have to have the B&O system to have separate sub woofer control?

There's no separate control on the B&O system either.

2018 and new have separate sub control on the B&O systems. What I want to know is if you need the B&O system for the dealer to apply the MMI update that fixes the missing sub control.

I have a March 2017 build with a subwoofer control for the B&O. MMI firmware is 0918 I think.

This is interesting I've asked the dealer to upgrade and he showed me the 19 in the showroom did not have sub control. I'm in Canada. I drive a 17 and dont have it.

I have a Canadian progressive spec 2017 too, it does not have sub control, when I bought the car I almost bought a 2018 with the Technik package, but I didn't like the color. It had separate sub control. I'm going in for in for my 30k km service and need an MMI update and was hoping I can get my buddy that works there get them to make sure that sub control is added too. I was just wanting to know if only B&O systems can have separate sub control because they have a dedicated subwoofer amplifier that non B&O systems don't.

I have the sub control on a 2017 A4 Allroad Premium plus.
